Hmmm bottom line is: a good group, (running just about any build) is 9/10 going to own a bad group (running the same build, or any other)...
So, if you're THAT worried about losing to blood spike so often, stop sucking so badly...problem solved...they should nerf idiots, not builds.
Aside from that, nerfing builds tends to nerf skills that have other uses, much like the minnion factory nerfs, that wreaked havoc on MMs in PvE, who were used to maintaining upwards of 20 minnions.

They really need to work on these maps. Why does Burial and Scarred have to be so huge if it's 1v1/2v2? Especially burial,blood spike starts running around even when they know they'll lose,only later.

When this topic was created I would say blood spike is easy to beat, but now blood spike is an extremely easy build to play (infusing a spike with over 1,000 damage really screws you over for at least 5 seconds, long enough to get another spike off) and it does very well. If you can find the guy with enfeebling blood and constantly interrupt him you should be fine, but normally you can only find him after the first spike, and that's too late a lot of the time (this is from my experience recently playing with nub infusers...haven't actually gotten a good infuser I know to play for a while).
Not to rant...but blood spike requires no skill. The caller can call with ctrl+c+space...every person that plays exclusively blood spike argues that they have to heal, but with constant energy management from soul reaping as well as a bip and bone minions, along with the assistance of spirits and 7 other healers, how hard is it really? And I could take it if it just stayed in HA, but now it's taking over GvG (an exaggeration, but 4-5 guilds running it is still ridiculous :/). The fact is, bad players can beat good players with blood spike, it is an unbalanced build.
People will argue that good people will still beat bad ones...but that isn't necessarily true, I've seen some very good and old GvG teams be beaten by blood spike.

When the group has 7 necros and their spike is Juandiced Gaze -> Vamp Gaze -> Juandiced Gaze, you have to double and triple infuse, which can run you out of energy very quickly, especially if they're smart enough to fake spike. Then they can get a clean Opp Gaze spike off and drop Frozen.
I wouldn't really say Bspike is hard to beat with a good team, but it is a bit harder to beat now than before.

Yeah OG spike (in general) can get 1,000 easily and can just about clean spike the Hero..
Jaundice Gaze is one of the main pressures in it that hurts the infuser's energy. Oppressive Gaze can be stopped with interrupting enfeebles, or timed extinguishes, but Jaundice Gaze keeps the monks busy and their energy down.

lol blood spike team is so easy to counter, I just infuse, bring blessed aura and combine it with divine spirit with a +20 enchant, guess what, all your healing spell cost 3 energy each because I just keep divine spirit up thanks to the stupid spirt spammer making it possible

I flawless every blood spike I run into while I'm infusing, unless my teammate doesn't heal me when they spike me.

B-Spike wasn't terribly hard to beat in 8-man and is pathetic in 6-man. Sure, occasionally they will get off some good spikes and you die, but if you don't ball up and you play smart they fold right over. Pressure > BSpike.

hiya all,
Im like xin night walker, one of the callers of sog.
i have been reading this topic couse peeps irl. were complaining to me that bspike takes no skill and is just a farming build for fame, and champ points. and if you would look to it in a certain way, he would be right about it..
Also peeps complain to when they loose, theyll say get a real build...
Well here is my view about it:
Ah well the build that we souls of glory run in halls is like custome made all the way. The build on gwshack is like just the basic standerd of bspike.. As smite, balanced, iway, etc. have there standerds
I could post the build that we are running atm. But then all would run it lol..
Also what i read on this forum is like matches take 20 min aggainst bspike..
Wich i must say is the biggest crap i ever saw.. The bspike we run takes like 2 min.. and aggaisnt a good grp 5min.. but if you realy think that a build that can take out a target in a blink of an eye and keep that dmg up for like every 4 seconds. then how is it possible to get a match that takes 20min when there just 8 (6 now) opponends on the oppeside team.. also the stuff in burrial is not compleatly bull... There is some truth in it.. here let me explain: Bspike vs pressure.. If you stand still aggainst pressure and just let the pressure build up.. youll die
So what is the strat to use aggaisnt pressure? you run away from that pressure.. And tada you spike the over extenders that follow.. and win ^^
Farming builds: Vimway, ballanced, bspike, smite, iway.. All these builds were created cause you could win when you played it.. Isnt farming equil to winning? Or do peeps create builds that dont work, so they can say well atleast were not lamers like bspike?? offcourse you create a build becouse you want to win. and we, sog play bspike couse we win alot with bspike and becouse its effective and fun to play ^^
My motto is.. keep it easy and effective, as is bloodspike.
Also, we could run a diffrent build.. we wouldnt win tho.. but we could run it lol.. just would take some practice to become skilled with it..

And how can peeple get 1000dmg in 1 spike? i wish my spikes would do that ammound of dmg lol. Peeps are just exaggerating to mutch.
A good oppresive spike does arround 600 dmg, (6 spikers, 1 enfeeble)
But mostly 2 spikers get interupterd and or are healing. (so 4 spikers ,1 enfeeble) so youll do arround 400dmg.
And enemy has arround 460-550hp..
So youll have to follow up with vamp gaze to finnish the target of. (5 spikers, no need for enfeeble) so youll do arround 250dmg..
so at most youll get 850 dmg out of 1 spike.. And if the enemy has 2 interupts, youll do 650 dmg, But to get this full dmg, youll need to follow up, so youll be using 2 spike skills.. And every1 can infuse that dmg. If you cant infuse that dmg.. then dont roll the infuser or go and practice infusing alot..
And also i havent even spoken of a good prot monk or rit.. Guess what those guy's do with your spike power
Ah well here is my point.. To much peeps are complaining that bspike is overpowerd.. But the reasons that there using realy make no sense..
1000dmg spikes, 20 min matches.. bspike ultimate holding build????
Well guy's let me tell you this.. dont complain about something you dont know sh*t about.. couse bspike is just another build, like iway, smite or ballanced.. And all these builds take skills..
And if you dont have skills, you can allway's run henchway or vimway
